apple released a product that isn't supported by ANY system (except the dell) and then don't educate their techs about this being a supported docking station. That's one of the reasons I was upset about the Dell stations. I didn't know they are updating it for 96W that's great news! Yes it currently only keeps the macbook fully charged under medium or low load.

I wouldn't have changed docking stations if I didn't have the option to swap with someone. They didn't tell me I had to, just kept insisting that I did because 'They couldn't say it was supported' and was pushing me towards a different docking station (belkin or Caldigit). I think Apple Technicians are notoriously script driven and was caught up on the fact that the fact it says it doesn't support Macbook USB-C models versus the thunderbolt models. In one of the comments I linked the official Dell page that shows this. The dell docking station is actually 'certified' by apple via a 3rd party vendor. Tested dock with other Thunderbolt ports on MBP Unplugged all devices outside of the monitor and plugging into the macbook Updated firmware on docking station via W10 computer Steps I've taken to make sure it wasn't me in addition to previously stated tests: They accepted bringing it in for hardware inspection but I fear that they are going to try to blame the docking station.I will also note that two months into owning my Macbook it had to get a replacement logic board because of constant cpu panic crashes.Дoes anyone have any idea what this could be? I've also saved the crash report if that helps I explained to them that this shouldn't matter as it has been working for 6 months just fine and the limitations ( explained by dell here) only pertains to NON thunderbolt Apple devices.the use case for me is well within the compatible limits of the device. My next step was to test this with a windows 10 laptop to make sure it wasn't a hardware failure. Eventually the macbook's fans spun up and resulted in a crash with a cpu panic. Just in case the docking station had a short or was experiencing some hiccup, I unplugged it's power, rebooted and tested again.still the same result.in fact I did this multiple times without any change. My MBP still acts as if the screen is usable as all my windows are left on the blacked out screen (unreachable) and the screen power light stays blue as if it's on and working but the screen is fully black with the exception of the backlight. Now, if I use the docking station, the monitor turns on for a few seconds (4-5) before blacking out. Now this could entirely be coincidental as the night before I was also playing some mid-range / light gaming (Game Tycoon and Total Was Shogun 2) for a few hours.

The keyboard, mouse, and external hard drive work perfectly and I've occasionally connected additional USB devices such as headphones and 3.5mm speakers for temporary use without any noticeable changes in experience.ДЄ few days ago, I decided to upgrade to 15.5 because of the relentless noise macOS was making for me to do so and now I have an issue that doesn't make any sense. Up to this point, I have been able to successfully dock my macbook pro to the docking station, connect to my second monitor via the usb type c and go about my day.

Macbook Pro 2019 16' i9, 64GB RAM, 8GB GPU This setup has been the same since I bought my MBP 16' in January of this year outside of repairs by AppleCare. Started having an issue today where my home docking setup began failing to work.
